PURPOSE:To form the full-wave rectifying circuit of small number of rectifiers and small capacity of transformer by providing a controlled rectifier and a series circuit of a transformer and a rectifier between a load and an AC power source. CONSTITUTION:While the phase R of the AC power source PS is in positive half cycle, the controlled rectifier TH is fired, a current designated by broken line inflows to the load L, and an output waveform (c) is obtained. In the next positive half cycle of the phase S, positive voltage is induced at the terminal (v) of the transformer Tr, a current designated by two-dotted broken line inflows to the load L, and the waveform (c) is obtained. Thus, a current designated by full-wave rectified waveform (d) flows to the load. Since small number of rectifiers and small capacity of transformer are thus contained, the volume is small, and inexpensive single phase full-wave rectifying circuit can be obtained. |
