PURPOSE:To easily insert the optical fiber by making the diameter of a microhole slightly larger than that of the optical fiber, and constituting so that the aperture surface of the microhole is tilted against the center axis of the microhole. CONSTITUTION:When the optical fibers 4, 4' are connected by use of the connector 1, in case of inserting the optical fiber 4 into the microhole 2, length (a) of the aperture part can be made enough larger than the diameter D of the optical fiber by making the angle theta a suitable value. Accordingly, the end part of the optical fiber 4 can be visually made to easily lie along the guide part A. After it has been performed, the optical fiber is inserted while sliding it so that the axis of the optical fiber 4 can be parallel to the axis of the microhole 2. In this case, any part of the end part of the optical fiber is not caught by the end part of the aperture part 3 nor sticks into it, but can be inserted easily. |
