<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the construction and to make the maintenance easy, by moving a machine hand carrying the wheel along a conveyor on which an automobile to be assembled is placed, and detecting the coaxial relation of the machine hand with a hub to stop the movement of the machine hand. CONSTITUTION:The wheel 42 carried on the machine hand 41 is positioned to face the hub 31 of the automobile 17 on the conveyor 16, and at the same time the coaxial relation detecting mechanism 35 is lifted. This lift causes a horizontal touching plate 65 to push up a hub bolt 34 of the hub 31 to rotate the hub so that the phase of the hub bolt 34 may be corrected while it is moved up, and then a limit switch 67 is actuated to stop the lift. Then when a base 28 is moved, a perpendicular touching plate 58 abuts to the hub plate 34, and a limit switch 71 is actuated to stop it. Thus, since the positional correction of the coaxial relation of the hub with the wheel can be readily carried out, the wheel automatic fitting machine whose construction is simple and maintenance is easy can be obtained.</p> |
