Excitation element for television antenna, characterised in that it includes a dipole part comprising two straight wires 16, 17 oriented symmetrically transversely to an axis of a support arm 3 and a trombone part 18 linking the said wires together by a flattened loop with two symmetric turns 19, 20 and in that the said dipole part and the said trombone part are electrically series-parallel mounted by electrical connections established on the axis of symmetry on the one hand between the said loop and the earth 13 of the support arm, and on the other hand between each of the said wires and a core strand 24 and the armour 26 respectively of a coaxial conductor cable. <IMAGE>
