PURPOSE:To form continuously and efficiently a semipermeable membrane on a sheet, by a method wherein a supply means which supplies the stock solution of the semipermeable membrane on the sheet, is provided movably in the lengthwise direction of the travelling of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A sheet A which is a backing reinforcing material is coated with a stock solution (D) of a semipermeable membrane, and then passed through cooling water and then warm water in turn to form the semipermeable membrane on the sheet. In an apparatus for the production of the above membrane, there is provided a supply means B which supplies the stock solution D. At the top end of the supply means B there is provided a coating means 10 which can be moved up and down by means of a screw rod 12. The supply means B is provided movably in the direction of an arrow x to the sheet A by means of an adjustor 13. The sheet A is introduced into the cooling water W in a cooling water tank C by a noncirculating system while the sheet is guided by means of guide rollers 5 and a support 9. The free evaporation time of the stock solution from the coating of the sheet A with the stock solution D through the immersion of the sheet A in the cooling water D, can arbitrarily be set. Thus, the semipermeable membrane can be produced surely and efficiently. |
