PURPOSE:To make the device small in size and high in speed by forming a magnetic path within the plane perpendicular to the moving direction of an element for performing selection or changing-over, arranging said magnetic parts in the moving direction of the element by leaving suitable intervals and so constituting these that the element is moved by a fixed extent in a linear step type. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic path by a magnetic body 2 and an energizing coil 3 is formed within the plane perpendicular to the moving direction of a movable hsaft 1 for an arrow. Magnetic bodies 9a-9c consisting of a plurality of energizing coils 3a-3c are formed in the stationary part by way of spacers 8a-8d, and are disposed by leaving fixed intervals. A permanent magnet 10 is fixed on the right end thereof by way of a spacer. A mirror 4 and a sliding groove 5 as well as a tooth part for magnetic path are provided to the movable shaft 1 of the movable part and magnetic bodies 6a, 6b are held fixed to the right end. If the coils 3a-3c are successively energized, the magnetic paths of the magnetic bodies 9a-9c and the tooth part of the movable shaft 1 are successively formed, and the mirror 4 move by each fixed extent, whereby the light wave paths are changed over.
