Granular, corpuscular or chip-like aggregate of organic material, (I), dissolving in human body with time, is added to a bone cement compsn. contg. (a) a monomer, (A), in a reaction- inhibiting protective jacket, (b) a powdery 2nd component, (B), reactive with (A), and (c) further standard additives. The cement compsn. is used for anchoring endo-prostheses, esp. hip- and knee-joint prostheses. The addn. of (I) ensures a rigid fit of prosthesis in bone and improves metabolism.
