Heat and sound insulation - for metal structures by fibre mat covering plastic layer with filler

A sound insulation for metal structures for vehicles, machine cowls, apparatus etc. for silencing purposes consists of a layer of thermoplastic material contg. a filler. This material is coated on one side with an organic or mineal fibre mat. The surface of the fibre mat can be protected against mechanical damage by a metal foil coating. One side of the laminate is covered by an adhesive film which is protected before use by a tear-off masking foil. Such a panel is more resistant to temp. than those on a bitumen basis and combines heat insulation with effective sound insulation.
