<p>The portable test facility is used to check the operation of a traffic light system with regard to sequence and timing. A test bar (1) carries three photo electric sensors (3,4,5) that are positioned to align with the red, green and amber lights of the traffic light control unit (2). An interface unit (7) allows connection via plug in cables with a control unit that has punched tape input of the correct operating sequence for the system. In built comparator units compare the timing of the measured valves with the reference valves and any differences are listed as hard copy by a printer.</p> |
