The gyroscopic device uses a converter to control the steering of ships, land vehicles etc. The unit has a main shaft supported on bearings within the housing end covers. The gyroscopic bodies are supported freely on shafts carried on a main cage that is supported on the main shaft assembly. Couoled supports are geared to the housing that allow the gyroscopic masses to rotate about a vertical axis. A number of variations of converter design are considered. The device is used for ships and missiles control systems.
