Installation for the shrinking of palettised stacks covered with a shrunk hood consisting of a truck movable on wheels with a burner installation and gas bottles fitted with a coordination ignition and control system. The truck is of the three wheeled type with two of it's wheels running on a common axis (7) and having a steerable wheel positioned in front of the other two. The truck is also fitted with a contact roller turnable round a vertical axis to be supported on the stack located relative to the wheel axis on the same side as the steerable wheel.
