<p>The drying system is partic. for grain, using gas passed through it to extract the moisture. Before delivery of the gas into the material, it is cooled to a temperature appreciably below the mean temperature of the latter, any moisture being condensed out in the process. It can be passed round a closed circuit, being warmed by the intrinsic heat of the material so as to increase its moisture absorption capacity, and can flow in alternate directions. The temperature to which it is cooled can be between -5 and +10 deg.C. pref. between 0 and 5 deq.C.</p> |
