The gas flow regulator operates on a pressure differential on a main diaphragm and has an auxiliary responsive to static line pressure. The main regulating valve stage (2) controls the flow in the pipeline (2a,2b), with an orifice plate (3) used to generate a pressure drop that is proportional to flow. The pressure difference is applied to a main control diaphragm (6) to control the valve, using the main stream flow over a connection and valve (1d,5). An auxiliary stage (1) has a second diaphragm (7) that responds to static pressure in the line.
