The diverting eyelet (a) is fitted to a shackle bolted to the car body. To slow down, or completely stop the backsliding of the strap due to retractor pull, the eyelet is fitted with an additional leg (b) which diverts the strap once more after it has left the eyelet. The additional diverting leg has a braking effect on the strap. This allows the tautness of the strap around the body of the user to be eliminated.
