The roof-mounted unit is intended for air extract from (9,11,5) and air supply to (6,7,8) a space (10), particularly a space with large floor area and/or ceiling height. It comprises a passage to an extract fan (4) and a heat recuperation unit (1) in which supply air takes up heat from the extract air. This unit is a heat exchanger with annular plates in which one air flow (6) is in radial direction whilst the other air flow (11) is in axial direction relative to the extract fan. This heat exchanger is arranged between the roof pedestal (2) and the opening through which the axial flow to outside or from outside passes.
