PURPOSE:To minimize the transfer of error, by automatically changing the insertion ratio of primary dimension coding against the coding of two dimension sequential processing, basing on the state of quality state of lines. CONSTITUTION:At a receiver 3, a check signal is reproduced and a threshold value is provided with the number of bits in error, the insertion ratio (K parameter value) of primary dimension coding is determined corresponding from the result and the result is transmitted to a transmitter 1. When a transmission control section 9 of the transmitter 1 receives the K parameter information, the K parameter value is indicated to a data compressor 6 via a line 24 for primary dimension coding. |
