<p>In a process for purifying exhaust air from paint-spraying-booths by scrubbing the spray mist with a scrubbing medium, particularly water, the spray particles are emulsified in the scrubbing medium with the addition of an emulsifier, at least a part of the emulsion is subjected to ultrafiltration and the ultra-filtrate is re-used as scrubbing medium. Among substances which can be used as emulsifier, are paraffin-sulphonates, olefin- sulphonates, alkylbenzenesulphonates, polyhydric alcohols, and diethylene glycol.</p> |
