<p>A machine for the manufacture of strands from several wires. It comprises feeding means for the wires, downstream of said feeding means, for each wire, a twisting device of the wire about its longitudinal axis, downstream of said devices, a strand formation apparatus, and control means for the twisting devices so that at each time, some of the wires rotate about their axis in a determined direction and the others in the reverse direction so that the algebraic sum of the torques applied to the wires to twist them are substantially zero. Therefore, the pitch of the strand is not influenced by the twisting devices.</p> |
