<p>A shaped pouring brick is disclosed which is useful in metallurgical processes such as continuous casting. The pouring bricks of the invention are particularly useful in the continuous casting of aluminium killed steels. The pouring brick has an inlet funnel and flow passage for the casting of metals and a gas chamber connected to a gas supplied duct and surrounding the flow passage. The gas chamber is connected to the flow passage by at least one annular channel. At least one circumferential discharge slot opens up into the flow channel.</p> |
