<p>Olefinic hydrocarbons containing from 3 to about 6 carbon atoms in which the olefinic linkage is in a terminal position are oligomerized by treatment with a heterogeneous oligomerization catalyst which is prepared by treating an activated metal oxide of Group IIIA of the Periodic Table with a titanium tetrafluoride compound at an elevated temperature.</p> |
