<p>Process for continuous spinning of viscose rayon comprises initial coagulation and stretching of the yarn, followed by two stage stabilisation. The first stabilisation stage is carried out at a higher temp. and acidity and the second stage at a lower temp. and acidity, such that sulphur-contg. salts are virtually eliminated from the yarn. Process is esp. useful for use with a roller treatment unit of known type as shown in the figure, which allows simultaneous treatment of 4 yarns. Process allows stabilisation of the spun rayon filaments without the necessity for a separate desulphurisation stage, as with prior art processes.</p> |
