PURPOSE:To carry out stable color development by processing a silver halide color photographic material with a color developer contg. a specified compound to prevent the occurrence of fog against high temp. processing. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide color photographic material is processed with a color developer contg. a compound such as 5-methyl-7-hydroxy-1,3,4-triazaindolidine represented by the formula (where R is H or alkyl) by 5-500, preferably 10- 100mg/l. Thus, the occurrence of fog in the uppermost layer alone of the material is prevented, resulting in no sensitivity lowering. In addition, the photographic characteristics of the layers under the uppermost layer undergo no change, and photographic characteristics stable to a change in processing temp. can be obtd. |
