PURPOSE:To enable to start a fluidized bed furnace easily by a fan consuming a small necessary power by a method wherein fluidizing gas is supplied only to a part of a surface of a perforated plate for the fluidized bed furnace at first, then, an area of the perforated plate receiving the supply of the gas is increased gradually. CONSTITUTION:An air chamber 3 below a perforated plate 2 of a fluidized bed boiler 1 is divided into a plurality of chambers 3A-3D by bulkheads 4 and a pulverized coal burner 5 and gas supplying nozzles 6A-6D for combustion and fluidizing are equipped to the respective chambe4s 3A-3D. Combustion gas pipelines 8A-8D having dampers 7A-7D are connected to the respective nozzles 6A- 6D. When the boiler 1 is strated, the damper 7C is opened to send air only to the air chamber 3C at first, and fluidize a fluidizing medium corresponding to an area of the perforated plate above the chamber 3C. At this time, the gas burner 9 is burnt in the air chamber 3C to heat the fluidized fluidizing medium and the pulverized coal is supplied from a burner 11 after a temperature is risen. Subsequently, the dampers 7B, 7D, 7A are opened sequentially and the boiler is started as a whole. |
