PURPOSE:To obtain the microcapsule slurry containing microcapsules in more than a specified percent, having a viscosity less than a specified value and suitable for a pressure-sensitive copying paper, by a coacervation method wherein as a physical heat stabilizer a lubricant is added. CONSTITUTION:Through a feeding pipe 6, a dye-containing oil, an aqueous cationic colloid and an aqueous anionic colloid are charged into a mixer 1 whose lining 8 is applied with direct current negative charge, the temperature of the mixture is adjusted to about 30-60 deg.C by passing water through a water jacket 9, and a plurality of disk stacks 4 are rotated to obtain an emulsified dispersion. To the emulsified dispersion is added an aqueous acetic acid solution to adjust its pH to about 4.0-5.0 to obtain a coacervate, and then is cooled to the ambient temperature, a curing agent is added while stirring to cure microcapsules in the coacervate and in the course of this as a physical heat stabilizer the lubricant is added to produce the microcapsule slurry containing more than approximately 30wt% of the microcapsule, having a viscosity of less than 40cps and suitable for pressure-sensitive copying paper. The product is removed through a discharge pipe 7. |
