PURPOSE:To enable printing quality to be kept uniform, by arranging means for detecting the temperature of ink and output voltage controlling means for changing the output of voltage applying means according to the detected output of the temperature detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The ink jet recording apparatus comprises an ink tank 5, piezoelectric elements 2-1, 2-2, nozzles 1-1, 1-2, and other. Adjacent to one of the nozzle 1-1, 1-2 of the recording apparatus is provided a temperature detecting element 9 for detecting the temperature of ink, and the temperature detecting element 9 is in association with the controlling circuit 10 for changing output of a printing signal generator 8 in accordance with the output detected by the temperature detecting element 9. Thus, voltage to be applied to the piezoelectric elements 2-1, 2-2 can be controlled in accordance with the change of the ink temperature, so that the printing quality obtained by the ink jet recording apparatus is kept uniform. |
