Integrated prodn. of methanol and ammonia uses the exhaust gas from low pressure methanol synthesis, after purification and nitrogen addition, as a feed for a small ammonia plant. Process is suitable for units of 1000 tons/day methanol and 300 tons/day ammonia. Capital cost is reduced by using nitrogen facility as feed for ammonia and flushing for methanol reactor.
