PURPOSE:To make an engaging part small and inconspicuous and to beautifully finish the external appearance of a container, by providing engaging parts to a shaft having an applicator at the leading end thereof and the mouth part of a container main body and fixing a lid to said mouth part so as to cover the same. CONSTITUTION:The upper end of a mouth part 20 extends inwardly to form an engaging part 22 having a hole large enough to permit a shaft 16 to pass and engaging with an engaging part 18 to fix and hold a lid 11 in a state covering the mouth part 20. When the lid 11 is allowed to cover a container main body 12 to be strongly pushed in the engaging part 18 of the lid deforms to be engaged with the engaging part 22 of the container main body to fix the lid 11. When the lid 11 is pulled by strong force, the engaging parts 18, 22 are disengaged to make it possible to detach the lid 11. The engaging part 18 of the lid 11 is small because it is provided to the outer periphery of the shaft 16 and, in this embodiment, it is inconspicuous because it is present at a part deeper than a mouth end 13. Since the engaging part 22 of the container main body 12 is present in the mouth part 20, it is also inconspicuous and, as a result, the engaging parts 18, 22 do not damage an external appearance design. |
