The preformed zinc flashing strip (W) may be used to weatherproof the ridge (R) of lean to pitched roof (16), having an assymetric 'Z' section. Flange (6) is fixed (17) flat onto the vertical wall (15) above ridge (R), incorporating a layer of adhesive (10). The properties of the adhesive are appropriate to the material in the wall, and the adhesive may be covered by a temporary protective film during storage and transit. Intermittent tab returns (13) may provide a key for mortar fillet (18), and holes for fixing nails (17) may be sited between the tabs. A variation of the section may have an extend web (7), which is mounted with the flange set into the wall.
