PURPOSE:The titled apparatus, capable of eliminating the unevenness of a nonwoven fabric, and designed to control the amount of the nonwoven fabric during passage by a weight per unit area, using the change in the intensity of the light transmitted. CONSTITUTION:A short fiber is fed from a feed tower 7, and passed through a card for manufacturing a nonwoven fabric to give a nonwoven fabric. In the step, the web after passing through the card is passed through the upper box 2 having light sources 4 and the under box 3 having a receptor element 5 in each chamber. The intensity of the light measured by the respective receptor elements 5 is converted into an electric signal, and the total of the signal values is compared with the first standard value. If the signal values are out of the standard value, a reduction gear is controlled to accelerate or decelerate feed rollers 6. If the signal values in the respective chambers are out of the second standard value, the conditions are indicated, and a vibration apparatus 8 is operated to uniform the falling of the short fiber. |
