<p>PURPOSE:To enable power consumption to be reduced when solid black printing is performed, by a method wherein an input signal given to a group corresponding to the input signal when a discrete value of a black printing signal exceeds a specific value, is compulsorily made white at a specific period. CONSTITUTION:Recording signal information of white and black binary of, for instance, 2048 bits per one line is inputted serially to a recording signal input terminal 12, which is replaced with a white printing signal every other bit in a thinning out circuit 13. When this image signal is printed by division into 8 parts, shift registers 14, 15 have a storable capacity of 256 bits. A black count circuit 16 counts the number of black printing signals and takes 'Low' for more than one half of the number of bits of each group, i.e., 128 bits and 'High' for 128 bits and under as NOR/SEL in judge signal, which is supplied to a selector 17 everytime counting of each group is ended. The selector 17 selects output of the shift register 14 when the judge signal NOR/SEL supplied in breaking time of a block count signal L1 is 'Low', and selects output of the register 15 in the case of 'High'.</p> |
