The hydraulic or pneumatic drive has a number of motors working independently, with pressure and return mains to which the inlets and outlets of a distributor are connected, the latter supplying the motors. The two mains (9,10) are common to all motors, being controlled by the single-section distributor (8) and connected to the motors (1), via valves (11,12) which shut off the flow between motors and distributor in both directions. The distributor can be in the form of a plunger valve sliding in the lengthwise direction, or of a selector valve.
