The resistance element is surrounded by a good to permit good heat transfer and good sealing when in position. A temp. sensitive resistance element is deposited on an aluminium plate and protected by a glass layer. Electrical wires are surrounded by a polymer material, to ensure that a rigid assembly is obtained. A thin section of a polymer cover moulding provides good thermal conductivity. An elastomer sealing gasket is located between the covering moulding and a metallic piece which is threaded to permit screwing into the measuring position.
