PURPOSE:To remove scales from a rolled steel plate prepared by hot rolling and to roll the plate simultaneously, and to obtain a steel plate with anticorrosion and the surface having good appearance with reduced energy, by using a treating solution obtained by emulsifying or suspending a mineral oil, animal or vegetable fats and oils in an aqueous solution of phosphoric acid with a specific concentration. CONSTITUTION:A mineral oil, animal or vegetable fats and oils, metallic soap, and solid lubricant are emulsified or suspended in 0.5-50wt% aqueous solution of phosphoric acid by a nonionic or cationic surface active agent, etc. to prepare a treating solution. A steel plate with mill scale wound in a coil shape at not higher than 700 deg.C after hot rolling is rolled using the treating solution. The concentration of the aqueous solution of phosphoric acid depends upon the temperature of the steel plate, and when it is not lower than 400 deg.C, the concentration is 0.5-10wt%, and when it is not higher than 400 deg.C, it is preferably 10-50wt%. |
