Two piece bristle-cap for broom - uses hub with socket for handle end and cupped cover retaining fixed bristle ends

The coupling has an approximately cylindrical hub (1) with a blind socket (S) for the end of handle (H). It has saw tooth socket bore ribs to permit handle extraction by pulling and one way rotation. It uses pyramid shape barrel projections (3) to grip bristle ends with a rounded rib (4) reducing bristle wear. A groove (5), with a traingular check rib, locates the lip (L) of a cup shape bristle- retaining cover (6). The latter has saw tooth section circumferential bore ribs (7) with an externally rounded edge moulding (8).
