PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a member to be rolled by providing a control circuit for making the field current of a motor optimum in response to the variation of the load. CONSTITUTION:When the load is balanced, signals 8-1a, 8-2a and 8-3a of the same value are supplied to field windings 3-1a, 3-2a and 3-3a. Here, when the load of a motor 3-1, for example, varies, a control circuit 7 detects the distortion of the signal 6-1a, and by the quantity of unbalance thus obtined, the field power source 8-1 supplies the corrected signal 8-1a to the field winding 3-1a. The torque of the motor 3-1 is controlled thereby. |
