PURPOSE:To obtain a substance having antitumor action and immune adjusting action, by subjecting a hot water extracted solution of mycelium belonging to the genus Peziza vesiculosa to alcohol fractionation, dissolving the prepared precipitate in water, followed by purifying the solution through dialysis. CONSTITUTION:Mycelium belonging to the genus Peziza vesiculosa are extracted with hot water to prepare an extracted solution, which is subjected to alcohol fractionation to give a precipitate, which is dissolved in water and purified throgh dialysis to give a substance having antitumor action and immune adjusting action. Hot water to be used for extracting the mycelium belonging to the genus Peziza vesiculosa is preperably hot water at 60-120 deg.C, most peferably boiling water at about 100 deg.C. When high pressure sterilization is carried out together, hot water at 120 deg.C can also be used. Methanol and ethanol can be used as an alcohol for fractionation, ethanol is preferably, and its concentration is preferably 40-60wt%. |
