<p>The cutter is for opening up cardboard boxes and similar packages, having a handle with a blade, pref. tapering to a point, protruding from the end. The forward end of the handle (10), in which the blade (24) is mounted, has a covering portion (38) clear of a flat side of the blade, and protruding beyond it in the sideways direction at least on the side of the cutting edge (34). In the lengthwise direction, this portion can be arranged to extend further than the blade tip (36). There can also be a supporting and guiding face (26) at the handle forward end.</p> |
