Appts for drying air with at least two chambers filled with adsorption medium, at least one of which dries the air which is subsequently heated to the drying temp and forced by a blower into a drying circuit, while in another chamber the adsorption medium is regenerated by means of a regeneration circuit with a second blower and a second heater is described. The appts enclosed inside a heat-exchange chamber which is air tight, so that cold air can only enter it above a filter arranged in the wall of the vessel. The blower in the regeneration circuit drains its air from the outlet of the heat exchanger. Little heat is lost from the appts compared with prior art.
