A prime mover or electrically driven vehicle can be moved along a traffic plane by radio control, clockwork or battery power. The prime mover is entirely concealed by a second traffic plane which is covered by a layer of easily displaceable resilient material. A rigid rod connection is established between the prime mover and a model vehicle through a slot in the upper traffic plane which is covered by the resilient material and conceal the slots thus giving a realistic impression of movement of whatever model vehicle is placed on the wire stud.
