Method for reproducibly controlling the deposition of layers of small crystal zeolite ZSM-5 of less than 0.5 micron on large crystal zeolite ZSM-5 (1 to 100 microns) which occurs in the synthesis of large crystal zeolite ZSM-5 from a reaction mixture of alumina, silica, alkali metal oxide, water and tetraalkylammonium compounds, by variation of the initial OH<->/SiO2 mole ratio over a broad range between 0.01 and 0.50. |
