Rods 12 rolling down slope 11 are braked by two polythene tubes 8 filled with a liquid, and are fmally stopped by a stop 14. Each tube contains a spacer strip 10 within it to permit escape of liquid up the tube as the rod goes downwards. Air may be used instead of liquid, the spacer strip may be positioned outside the tube and the tubes in pairs may overlap to provide a sufficient length of tube down a slope. |
