PURPOSE:To keep constant the relative speed of inner and outer circumferences of a disc shape recording medium to a recording head, by a simple constitution that the output of a function generating means, taking the position of the recording head on the recording medium or the elapsed time from the recording start point as a variable, is used. CONSTITUTION:A counter 9 starts count with a start signal fed to a terminal 20 when a recording head 4 is at a position x0 being the recording start point of a disc 1. The output showing the count value in proportion to the elapsed time of the counter 9 is converted into an electric function and fed to a motor 3 via a frequency divider 13 and motor drive circuit 16, and a part of the converted output is fed to a motor 6 via a frequency divider 15 and motor drive circuit 16. The motors 3, 6 decrease in the number of revolutions sequentially together with the time elapsed after start. By suitably determining the ratio of frequency division of the frequency dividers 13 and 15, the relative speed between the recording head 4 and the disc 1 can be made constant at an arbitrary point of the disc 1. |
