PURPOSE:To exercise a supervision over whether a control system is abnormal or not with simple constitution, by detecting a corrected controlled variable and then by judging whether this detected contrlled variable or its change rate is within preset range or not. CONSTITUTION:For knocking control over a car engine, air sucked in engine 6 is measured by air flowmeter 2 and mixed in suction manifold 4 with fuel from fuel injection valve 5 before being distributed to respective combustion chambers of engine 6. The best ignition point of engine 6 is detected by knocking sensor 19, whose output is applied to microcomputer 1, which performs operations on the basis of an ignition point pattern at the point to find the best ignition point. Whether the value or change rate of the best ignition point is within the range preset in memory device 18 respectively is judged; when it is within the range, the control is carried on by considering the judgement and correction to be possible and when not, an alarm is generated by alarm device 25 to stop the operation of the control system, thereby changing the control over to fixed control for a constant amount. |
