PURPOSE:To check efficiently a unit including a microprogram storage ROM by making a unit check by using a test pattern stored in a free address of a microprogram. CONSTITUTION:In address Ax of the microprogram stored in ROM1, all control bits are set to 0 and at address Ay, all control bits are set to 1. Firstly, the address of ROM1 is set to Ax. Then, output bits B1, B2... of ROM1 are all set to 0. Those bits B1, B2... are supplied to logic circuit 2A or 2B together with other input data. As a result, obtained output data is checked by being compared to previously calculated correct-solution output data. Next, setting the ROM address to Ay sets all output bits B1, B2... to 1 and the same comparing check is made. |
