PURPOSE:To increase the frequency of a rate pulse without exerting effect on the interpolation of B-mode data, by setting the writing time of the B-mode data to a frame memory so as to make the same longer than the cycle of the rate pulse. CONSTITUTION:The echo signal obtained from an examinee is received by the same probe 1 and applied to an adder 6. The B-mode signal in said echo signal is subjected to envelope detection by a detector 7 to be inputted to a DSC part 20. An A/D converter 9 converts the inputted echo signal and a Doppler spectrum signal to digital signals to temporarily write the same in a line buffer memory 10 and the data thereof is read from a separate line memory to be written in a frame memory 11. At this time, the writing time is set so as to be longer than the cycle of a rate pulse PRF. By this method, the number of the interpolation data of a B-mode written in the frame memory 11 are increased. Therefore, the max. detection frequency of a Doppler mode can be raised without deteriorating the image quality of a B-mode image and a region where blood flow velocity is faster can be measured. |
