An adjusting device intended for the pivot shafts 6, 5' of the seats of mutually adjacent chairs, containing bearing surfaces 7, 7' intended for the shafts 6, 5' and receiving both end faces of the shafts. These bearing surfaces are arranged to be able to assume a number of adjustment positions which are adjustable towards and away from each other. A respective bearing surface 7 is configured in a shaft holder 8, which, by removable fastening members 9, is fixed to a plate 12 adjustable in the axial direction of the shaft. This plate cooperates with a stud bolt 11 fixed in a panel 12, which, in turn, is fixed to a member 13 which retains and secures the adjustment position of the plate. The securing member is constituted by a clamp, on which a clamping member is fixed or configured and, when the clamping member is activated, the plate is held fast. Extending from the panel 12 in opposite directions are its respective stud bolts 11, 11' and each bolt cooperates with its respective plate 10, 10', whereby the clamp 13 and the clamping member are arranged to retain two plates in their respective adjustment positions. <IMAGE> |
