PURPOSE:To efficently treat waste gas without the problems of posttreatment of waste water or fume by a method wherein a high-temperature, hydrogen-chloride- containing waste gas is brought into contact with slaked lime powder, then with sprayed slaked lime slurry so that the hydrogen-chloride gas is adsorbed. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogen-chloride-containing waste gas discharged from an incinerator 1 is cooled to about 350 deg.C by the cooling tower 2 and is guided into the reaction tower 3. In the tower 3, the waste gas is brought into contact with slaked lime powder supplied from the apray nozzle 7, whereby the hydrogen-chloride gas reacts with the slaked lime and produces calcium chloride powder. The treated gas further contacts slaked lime slurry fed from the tank 8 and sprayed from the nozzle 10 in the tower 3. This causes the hydrogen chloride gas in the gas to be adsorbed and formed into solid powder. The treated gas exits from the tower 3 and enters the dust collector 11 where the reaction products are removed. The treated gas is then discharged from the stack 13, via fan 12, to the air.
|
