PURPOSE:To reduce the consumed electric power and lessen noises by providing a bonding layer of specified thickness between a flow channel forming member and an electromechanical transducing element in the recording head adapted to a device of drop-on-demand type. CONSTITUTION:Between a cylindrical glass member 2 forming a flow channel and the cylindrical electromechanical transducing element 3 is filled up a resin bonding agent, which forms the bonding agent 4. The bonding layer 4 is set so that the average thickness d of the layer is ordinarily D/10-D/70 or, preferably, D/15- D/30 where D is the average inside diameter of the electromechanical transducing element 3. In addition, the thickness of the layer of each part, in this case, is set so that the deviation of the actual thickness of the bonding layer 4 is within the range of + or -d/2 or, preferably + or -d/4. By setting the thickness of the bonding layer 4 as in the above, the efficiency and the stability of the liquid-drip discharge are sharply increased. |
