Extract of stevia was treated with Ca(OH)2, active carbon and Al2(So4)3 to give precipitation or coagulation of impurities, and residual impurities were removed by ultrafiltering membrain at 2-7atm. and 5-45≦̸C. The concentrated ext. was freeze-dried or spray dried to give powdered stevioside. The powdered stevioside showed more than 90% purity. |
