<p>PURPOSE:To continuously and efficiently desulfurize sulfur oxide from waste gas at a low cost by vertically arranging an adsorbent feeding tank, flat-type adsorption layer and desoprtion layer through feeders capable of adjusting respective feed amount. CONSTITUTION:The gas in the flue 1, during passing through adsorption layer 2, is freed from sulfur oxide which is adsorbed by the adsorbent 3, and the cleaned gas is discharged from the stack to the air. From the feed tank 6, the adsorbent is continuously supplied through the feeders 7 to the adsorption layers 2 and continuously discharged through the feeders 9. Into the adsorption layers 10, a high temperature desorbing gas such as inert gas enters from the inlets 11, heats the adsorbent and desorbs much sulfur oxides from the adsorbent, then is sent from the outlet 12 to the recovery unit. The discharged adsorbent is cooled on the conveyors 14, 15 and is returned to the feed tank 6 via vertical transporting means 16 and conveyor 17 so that it is used repeatedly.</p> |
